Said he was from the US customs and Board of Protection Narcotics and they had a criminal case on me in their narcotics department. This is a scam don't give these people any information. I called the US Customs Dept and reported this to them.

Called my husband and my former employer and told them there was trouble due to my social security number. I must call them immediately in order to avoid further trouble.

Keeps calling. I don't answer. Don't know anyone from this number. Wish they would stop calling my cell phone. Very annoying!

Caller ID "North American" Said "they had the wrong number."

Machine called, using spoofed caller ID, playing a pre-recorded message about lowering my credit card rates, and the usual "Press 1 to speak to a live operator and lower your rates now." I get several of these calls a week, and I'm on the DNCL. I always press 1 and ask to be put on their do not call list. The usually acknowledge my request with a hangup. This time, the conversation went like this: Scammer: "Card Financial Services (or something similar, mumbled quickly), this is (mumbled her name quickly) speaking. Can I help you?" Me: "Are you going to hang up on me?" Scammer: "You betcha!" <click!> It's unfathomable. I really wonder why they bother to call, other than to harass and annoy people?
